Quality Assurance "QA" is the responsibility of the Company's Management Team.
Quality considerations are assessed during the estimating process and assessments are made continually throughout the project cycle to completion and acceptance.
All project superintendents and foremen serve as quality inspectors. They are delegated QA responsibility by the management team and are trained to maintain " Quality " as a high priority and have all the necessary customer specifications on each job site with the QA planning.
Quality is discussed with all hands on a regular basis and is incorporated as a part of the Company's Weekly Safety Program. QA procedures can be supplemented on a contract of customer basis depending on specified requirements.
Follow - up is incorporated as part of GSU's ongoing quality inspections. When deficiencies are discovered, corrective action begins immediately. A sustained effort continues until all deficiencies are corrected and prevention procedures are in place to prevent the recurrence of any definciencies. Implementing improvements originating from "good ideas" to "re-engineering the plan" is our quality mission, instead of allowing deficiencies to continue because they are to hard to change.
We view quality much like safety. To be successful, both must originate as a state of mind, and become a way of doing business. It's the attitude every employee demonstrates that results in quality performance.
Our policy is simple. Give the customer what was specified, do it safely and be proud of the results.
During the weekly safety meetings, all QA issues noted by GSU's inspectors on the checklists are reviewed and appropriate follow-up measures are addressed and scheduled as needed. All Subcontract work is subject to the same QA inspections and follow - up as discussed above. All QA checklists are maintained and put into the job file on the job site. All QA "finish work" noted on these checklists is reviewed weekly until "signed off" by the supervisor.
